1. Who operates Motomi

This policy describes the Android app Motomi, operated by Motomi, and this informational website.

2. Records you create

Motomi lets you record vehicle makes and models, license plate details if provided, odometer readings, service jobs and components, maintenance reminders, fuel purchases, costs, and document or receipt information and photos where supported. These entries power your records, summaries, and reminders.

Local-first storage: in the offline-first version described here, these records are stored on your device. We do not operate a Motomi sync server for this content. When you manually export or share information, the handling of the exported copy depends on you and the destination service.

3. Device permissions

Depending on the features you use, Motomi may request notification permission for reminders and access to selected photos, camera, or files for attaching documents or receipts. You can manage permissions in Android settings. Availability depends on your app version.

4. Third-party providers

Motomi does not automatically provide your local vehicle records to advertisers. However, integrated third-party providers may process limited technical data for their services:

• Website hosting (Firebase Hosting): when you visit this website, Google as the hosting provider may process technical request data (such as IP address and connection information) to serve content and protect its infrastructure. See Firebase privacy.
• Advertising (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob): when the free version displays ads, advertising providers may process advertising identifiers (when available and permitted), device information, IP addresses, and ad interaction data under their policies. See Google Privacy Policy.
• In-app purchases (Google Play): Google Play processes Pro purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details. Google may process transaction data to provide payment services.
• Firebase Crashlytics: may collect error reports, device details, and diagnostics when problems occur. See Firebase privacy.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: may process app events and device details to analyze how features perform. See Firebase privacy.

Third-party privacy controls are also subject to each provider's own terms. We update these details if the app’s service providers change.

5. Purposes of processing

• Display and manage vehicle, service, fuel, and document information you provide.
• Calculate cost summaries and upcoming maintenance reminders on your device.
• Handle in-app purchases and display ads if those features are included in your version.
• Respond to support requests you send by email, including any details you choose to provide.

6. Retention, security, and deletion

Local records generally remain until you delete individual entries, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Files you have exported or backed up elsewhere need to be deleted separately. We aim to use appropriate app security mechanisms, but the device, operating-system backups, and external services have their own controls.

7. Accounts and your choices

The app version described here does not offer a Motomi online account. Core vehicle records live on your device, not in a Motomi-hosted account.

You can review, edit, and remove local information using available app features or Android settings. You may also contact us with privacy questions. Requests involving third-party data may need to be addressed to those providers directly.

8. Children

Motomi is built for people managing vehicles and is not directed specifically at children. Contact us if you believe information has been handled inappropriately.

We may revise this policy when features, service providers, or processing practices change. The update date appears at the top.
